Make it ATS-friendly

Strong bullet = action verb + what you did + a number + the result. Example: 'Cut invoice errors 40% by building an Excel check sheet.'

What ATS means

Most companies run resumes through an Applicant Tracking System: software that reads the text and matches it to the job. If it cannot read your resume, a person may never see it.

One column, real text

Every template here is one column with ordinary text, which ATS reads reliably. Avoid tables, text boxes, columns and pictures of text in resumes you make elsewhere.

Use standard headings

Education, Experience, Projects and Skills are the words ATS looks for. Clever headings like 'My Journey' can be missed.

Mirror the job post

If the post says 'financial modelling' and you have done it, use those exact words. Do not copy skills you do not have.

No photo, age or personal details

Leave out photo, date of birth, marital status, religion and father's name. They do not help ATS and can invite bias.

Send the PDF

Download as PDF so the layout does not move. Name the file Firstname-Lastname-Resume.pdf.

One resume per kind of job

Make a copy for each kind of role you apply for (you can keep five here) and reorder or reword it for that role.

Be honest. Only write what you can explain in an interview. A recruiter may ask about any line, and a background check may confirm dates, marks and employers.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Any account gets the builder, 2 templates and the PDF download at no cost. Full Access holders and AI Sunday workshop attendees get all 24 templates.

Does it use AI to write my resume?

No. The builder gives you examples, tips and checks, and you write every line. That keeps it honest and in your own words. If you want help rewording, paste one bullet at a time into your own AI assistant and check what comes back.

Who can see my resume?

Only you. Drafts are saved to your account and are not public. A downloaded PDF goes wherever you send it. You can delete a resume at any time, and they are deleted with your account.

Why no photo or date of birth?

Most recruiters and ATS guidance advise against them, and they can invite bias. Leave them out unless an employer specifically asks.
