Projects to do

A sweet shop that overbakes wastes perishable stock and one that underbakes loses loyal customers during the busiest days.

Buying a ticket for a small local match is often harder than booking a film, so would-be spectators simply do not go.

A family-run textile mill hears that digital printing and automation could change its business, but acting too early or too late can both hurt.

Families file health insurance claims while stressed and short of time, and unclear forms and follow-ups make it worse.

A well-loved name stretched over many products can become a blur, unless the family of brands is organised so shoppers understand each one.

A deal can lift earnings per share while destroying value, or the reverse, so the model alone cannot decide the question.

Land use change in Goa is debated in villages and the press, yet few students have read the published steps, who decides at each stage and where the public can object.

Villages near Goa's beaches see a few long-staying remote workers each season, but nobody has asked what keeps them there or what would bring more without upsetting residents.

When a festival brings crowds, rooms sell out but roads, water, staff and waste handling struggle, and visitors blame the whole town.

Campuses throw away plenty that others could use, yet few student ventures plan how to make reuse pay for itself.

A call centre must end its night shift, which affects people with childcare, transport and loans built around that schedule.

Governments can give poor households cash or goods such as grain, and each choice changes who gains, who is left out and who decides what is bought.

Barriers in hiring, such as unclear locations, rigid timings or biased wording, can shut out capable people without anyone noticing.

A spice farm open to visitors earns from tour tickets, buffet lunches, a small shop and sometimes a cottage, but the owner cannot see which part really pays and which only fills the day.

A small trading business spends hours each month sorting unpaid invoices and writing payment reminders, and often forgets to chase older dues politely and on time.

A company considering a bid on a mineral block must check geology, legal status, environment, community and logistics before committing, and missing one area can turn a winning bid into a loss.

A small staffing firm checks references and past jobs informally, with no written consent and no clear rules on what is asked or kept.

Reclaiming a mined-out pit costs money over many years, and the choice of end use (forest, water body, farmland, recreation) changes both the cost and the timeline.

As electric vehicles spread, used batteries will pile up, and communities will need clear ideas about reuse, repair and safe disposal.

When a flight is delayed, passengers judge an airline by how clearly and kindly it keeps them informed, not just by how late they are.

Patients who find lab visits hard, such as older people, would use home collection if booking, timing and reports were organised well.

A healthy-sounding snack must win a student's tiny budget and a taste test against familiar chips and biscuits.

Industrial estates in Goa send most goods by truck, and planners want to know which firms and products, if any, could use coastal shipping instead.

A founder lists dozens of features for a workout-partner app, yet only one or two decide whether people come back.
