Projects to do

A water-filter seller earns once and then loses touch, while a service plan keeps customers but needs steady upkeep.

As orders rise, a small candle brand ships wrong items and late parcels, but the owner cannot see where the mistakes begin.

Joining an early startup is risky, yet many candidates never ask what could go wrong or how the team would handle it.

A student plans a resume-review service, but building a website first would hide whether juniors actually want or use such help.

A new class rests on hidden beliefs about parents, timings and fees, and the riskiest belief is rarely the one tested first.

A branch wants to cut waiting but cannot risk disrupting customers, so any new idea needs a small, safe trial first.

A home cook wants to start a pickle brand but cannot tell whether people will buy beyond family and neighbours.

A founder imagines a healthy lunchbox service, yet busy parents may care more about morning time or fussy eaters than about nutrition.

A subscription founder either tracks nothing or tracks everything, and so misses the few numbers that show if the business is healthy.

Parents and children in a family shop avoid talking about the future, so each guesses what the other wants.

A small milk delivery brand has loyal customers but thin earnings, so its way of making money may need a rethink, not just more sales.

A founder lists dozens of features for a workout-partner app, yet only one or two decide whether people come back.

Everyone says neighbourhood shops need technology, but few founders sit with an owner for a full working day to see what truly hurts.

A family firm needs professional management but fears that an outsider will upset old staff and long-standing customers.

When many relatives work in one firm, hiring, pay and promotion become emotional unless clear rules are agreed in advance.

Small farmers lose time and value getting vegetables to town buyers, while buyers cannot rely on a steady supply.

A family jewellery shop must pass on trust, customers and stock, and three possible heirs each want something different.

A social venture claims to help shopkeepers, but without careful measurement it cannot show whether lives or incomes truly change.

A cloth mill sells to traders, but selling clothes under its own name needs very different skills, risks and customers.

Founders explain failure very differently, and the way they tell the story shapes trust with customers, staff and future backers.

Student teams drift when exams arrive, and small disagreements about effort quietly end ventures that had a good idea.

Teams are most hopeful before a launch, which is exactly when imagining how it could fail is cheap and useful.

Families spend on uniforms children soon outgrow, but a reuse scheme must decide between donations and sales and still pay its workers.

Many student ventures only hear tough feedback after pitching to real investors, when the chance to fix the gaps is gone.
